Note:  1. Nm3/h is defined as the volume at 0, 101.3kPa(A);

2. The liquid output is calculated on data of gas, and the pressure is calculated with 0 meter high  at outlet of cold box.

          3.  All pressures which are not specially defined below are the gauge pressures.

Description:

         The proposed plant employs a process in which air is purified by molecular sieve and waste nitrogen is refluxed and expanded.

         Following the elimination of dust and other mechanical impurities from process air in an air filter, the process air enters air compressor to be compressed, and then enters precooling system to be cooled to approx 5~8 and to be reached saturated condition.

        The compressed air enters one of molecular sieve adsorbers (such as MS1) where such impurities contained in air as moisture, CO2, C2H2 and hydrocarbon are adsorbed by molecular sieve.

        The purified air out of adsorber enters main heat exchanger E1 in which the temperature reduced gradually; out of E1, the cooled air reaches the saturated temperature and enters the bottom of nitrogen column C1 to take part in rectification.

        Air rises in nitrogen column C1 to be condensed continually, of which the nitrogen content increased, and the product nitrogen gas is obtained at the top.

        Nitrogen gas drawn out of the top of column enters main heat exchanger E1, and after air fed out of cold box is supplied to client.

        The rest of nitrogen gas at the top of column enters condenser evaporator K1 to be condensed as liquid nitrogen.

        Liquid nitrogen is fed into liquid nitrogen storage tank SV1 to be supplied to client as the product liquid nitrogen.

       The rest of liquid nitrogen fed back to nitrogen column C1 as the reflux liquid to take part in rectification and to be vaporized gradually such that the oxygen content increases; then the oxygen-enriched liquid air is obtained at the bottom of column.

       Oxygen-enriched liquid air enters liquid air subcooler E2 to be subcooled and throttled to be fed into condenser evaporator K1.

       Oxygen-enriched liquid air is vaporized to be oxygen-enriched air in condenser evaporator K1 and then the oxygen-enriched air to be fed out of the top of column and into main heat exchanger E1 to be warmed. The warmed air is fed out of the middle portion of main heat exchanger E1 and into turbo-expander ET1 to be expanded and refrigerated.

       Expanded oxygen-enriched air enters main heat exchanger E1 to be fed out of cold box after to be rewarmed.

       Part of oxygen-enriched air fed out of cold box enters electric heater EH to be warmed, and then enters another molecular sieve adsorber (such as MS2) as the regenerated gas for molecular sieve adsorber, and the rest is discharged.

       Product liquid nitrogen enters cryogenic liquid storage tank to be standby gas at abnormal situation. After the cryogenic liquid nitrogen is vaporized in vaporizer, it will be supplied to pipe network.
